The current use of this former industrial building is a fine example of adaptive reuse. In the heart of lower Hamilton, 270 Sherman has been transformed into a creative industries complex, with space for workshops and small manufacturing, office space for creative professionals, and studios for artists. The former textile mill was built in 1900 and operated until 1972.
The Dalby House also known in the past as Gordon Block or The Iroquois Hotel – is a unique flat-iron building in downtown Elora. As one of the oldest hotels in the province and the oldest hotel in the county, and sited at the intersection of Metcalfe and Geddes Streets in Elora, ON It was built in two stages in 1865 and 1870.
